Abandoned House From the Days of Building Bull Shoals Dam

If you have read my Bull Shoals Backyard blog you will know that Matthew has been clearing our adjoining 1.5 acre woods of dead undergrowth and life-sucking vines. We discovered an abandoned house there. A few people have told us that it is from the days of the construction of the Bull Shoals Dam . Since it was a long project, workers built small homes and lived with their families throughout the construction. We believe this was such a house. All that remains is the foundation and concrete block walls.

We may turn it into a studio one day or simply make it safe by removing all the rubbish.

However, it won’t be forgotten.
